PES 13 : Game Review
One of the first things that that hits you about PES 13 is how steep the learning curve is. As was the case last year and the year before, you’re forced to unlearn and relearn everything about the controls and pace. It’s easy to tell when the new PES is due: “I’ve just about mastered the previous one”, but likely not. Don’t expect to shoot the ball onto the back of the net several times as if this was FIFA. In fact, it would probably take you a couple of games or more to bring yourself up to speed.
The reasons for this is plenty. First is the PES FC (not football club but FC here stands for Full Control) means that you have absolute control on where and how you want to control the ball on the field. The direction, height and velocity is all up to you. If you’re expecting a magical 10-0 result by just mashing buttons, think again. Absolute control means absolute effort.

So PES 13′s player on-cover, Cristiano Ronaldo , doesn’t just look like the real deal, but plays similar in-game as well.
The defenders are a lot smarter this time around; you won’t be able to speed through them as you were able to in the earlier versions. They hold their lines quite well and deny any possibility of a through ball. It’s plenty cut-throat even at the normal difficulty setting. So then again, this aint an easy game.
The player models are faithfully recreated to be spitting image of their real lief counterparts and the animations are fluid. But I should say, close up of Wayne Rooney is kind of weird.
And in stunning gesture, Konami announced that PES 13 would be getting all the official Spanish League stadiums as a free DLC.
